Tired of staring at a blank Word document while you try to write your essay? Give your mind (and your hands) a break: drop into one of SAMRU’s Crafternoon sessions!
Your Students’ Association offers regular crafting programming all through the semester. In between classes, you could be making essential oil bath bombs, masquerade ball masks, dreamcatchers – or even helping put together a DIY compost systems for the MRU Community Garden.
These drop-in craft sessions are a great chance for some hands-on fun and relaxation. And since each craft workshop is designed by one of our own staff programmers, you’re guaranteed to have lots of variety! We occasionally even have guest instructors come in to teach us their ways. Neat!
As always, these activities are open to all students, so grab a friend and enjoy a well-deserved break from all those essays and tutorials with your crafty classmates.
Our next upcoming Crafternoon session is Handmade Plantable Paper on Monday, November 23, 12:30 – 2:00 p.m. in The Gallery. We also have workshops for rice sock heating pads and Indigenous crafts coming up: check out our full Crafternoon schedule here!
