The Native Students Centre (Z203) is hosting weekly activities to learn more about Aboriginal crafts. The Aboriginal crafts program is a free drop-in activity, and everyone is welcome to attend. You don’t have to identify as Aboriginal to participate in the Native Student Centre or the Aboriginal crafts program. Staff, faculty, and MRU students are all welcome to attend.

We’ll supply the tools, materials, and instruction, and you just bring your creativity. This is a great chance to meet new people, learn more about Aboriginal culture, and even maybe get a head-start on your holiday gift-making list! Some of the projects we can help you make are beaded items, unisex jewellery and other similar items – however we can also assist you if you have a larger project in mind, with advice on other supplies you might need along with guidance and instructions.

If you would like to learn more about the Native Student Centre (NSC) or the Aboriginal crafts program, please visit the NSC >>http://www.samru.ca/supportServices/nsc.htm
