Live Music

The Hub is proud to continue Wyckham House’s tradition of awesome live music. Our focus is on local acts, from the bands we book to Last Band Standing, our competition showcasing MRU bands. Whether you’re into folk, rock, jazz or hip hop, we’ve always got something new coming up. Check our Events Calendar to see who’s playing this month!

Interested in playing The Hub?

We’re always looking for great bands to play our space! Although we don’t book bands in the summer, we regularly host shows throughout the academic year. There are three main ways to play in the Hub:

  • If you’re a member of a band interested in playing the Hub, email our Events Manager. Please include your band’s name, genre, website, availability, a recent sample of your music, and whether your band includes current MRU students or alumni. We’ll add you to our artist index so we can contact you if an opportunity comes up.
  • Students have the option of playing at the Hub through student clubs such as the Jazz Club and the Jam Club. For more information about these clubs, email our Clubs Coordinator.
  • You can rent the Hub! We offer competitive rental rates, full food and bar service, a modern PK Sound powered sound system and experienced techs. The Hub has a patron capacity of 220 and is licensed for all-ages and 18+ shows. For details and pricing, visit our Venue Rentals page. For booking and other information, please contact our Food and Beverage Manager.
