Celebrate our leaders of tomorrow with keynote speaker Taylor Conroy

This was our inaugural year for the Pinnacle Leadership Challenge, and we’re thrilled to see the impact the program has had for our participants. Our Pinnacle participants have been working hard since October, and over twenty students will complete the program and receive their participation certificates later in March.

It’s the passion of these incredible, hard-working students that have helped make the Pinnacle Leadership Challenge such a success. As a final celebration and a thank you to our participants, we’re capping off this year with a keynote speech from Taylor Conroy, founder of social enterprise Change Heroes and co-founder of impact travel company Journey333.

Taylor comes well-qualified to speak to innovation and driving social change: his projects have mobilized 15,000 people from 80 countries around the world to to fund hundreds of schools, water projects, libraries, girls scholarships, and more. His social enterprise, Change Heroes, has taught hundreds of children to be social entrepreneurs and his vision for his co-founded impact travel company. He also co-founded Journey333, an impact travel company with the goal of transforming the world’s largest industry — travel — into a vehicle for sustainable impact and personal transformation. If you’d like a sample of what you’re in for, here’s a clip of him speaking at TEDxKelowna on YouTube.

We hope you’ll join us on March 30th at this wrap-up keynote speech. After the speech, we’ll host a meet and greet for anyone who would like to ask questions. This free event is open to all Mount Royal students, so we’d like to invite anyone interested to join the Facebook event.

Personal development is a strong focus of the Pinnacle program. Our participants work towards becoming positive community leaders, and through workshops offered by experienced professionals, we help all our Pinnacle participants develop their own unique set of leadership skills. We strongly believe in the leadership potential of all our students, and we’re proud of all the hard work that our participants have put in leveraging their personal strengths into action.

We know that learning goes beyond the classroom: there’s the relationships you build, the experiences you have, the differences you explore, and the challenges you face. That’s what the Pinnacle Leadership Challenge is all about. If you want to be a leader of tomorrow, Pinnacle will help give you the tools and skills to get there.
