The BSUJ is a peer-reviewed, open-access, undergraduate journal focused in the behavioural sciences. Our mission and core values reflect the building of research integrity, publishing responsibility, community accessibility and meaningful dissemination at foundational levels.
The BSUJ is a peer-reviewed, open-access, undergraduate journal focused in the behavioural sciences. Our journal was founded in 2012 by interdisciplinary Mount Royal University students in the Psychology and Sociology programs. These peers were interested in the similarities and differences between the fields, with respect to its research, findings, and publications. From there, it flourished into the much broader term of ‘behavioural sciences’ which captures a vast amount of disciplines interested in the way human beings function by way of their behaviour (e.g., psychology, sociology, anthropology, policy studies, criminal justice, etc.). Our mission reflects the learning of scientific principles. research integrity, publishing process, and constructive collaboration at foundational levels. We encourage interested readers to sign up for the publishing notification service for the journal via our website (at the top of the home page). This registration will result in the reader receiving the ‘Table of Contents’ by email for each new issue of the journal. If you are interested in submitting your term paper, research paper, course work, etc., for publication, we recommend that you review the ‘About the Journal’ page on our website for the journal's section policies, as well as the ‘Author Guidelines’. This way, you may learn more about the publishing process.
