For 2013 your Students’ Association has a brand new set of programs through the Sustainability Centre, located on the second floor of Wyckham House.
If you’re just looking to get started incorporating sustainable practices into your life, you might like the eco-innovation program. Featuring do-it-yourself projects like eco-awesome notebooks, Bokashi composters, and eco-friendly gifts, all supplies are included – you just need to pre-register a week in advance.
If you want to learn and share what you know, while also learning from guest hosts and local facilitators, the creative communities’ café program might interest you. With weekly discussion topics, students interested in sustainability on campus, in Calgary, and with a global perspective come together to learn, explore, share, and meet others. No pre-registration is required – just attend the topics that interest you for the time you have.
For students interested in taking their eco-awareness to the next stage, the Sustainability Centre is also offering a series of sustainable leadership workshops. With topics like how to plan successful events and discovering your leadership style, you’ll get off on the right start towards planning moving and motivating campaigns around sustainability awareness, or any other topic you’re passionate about. Pre-registration is required for these sessions, just so we can makes space for everyone who wants to attend.
