Are you feeling some end-of-semester stress? It’s no surprise: you’re working hard on all your term papers, projects, last-minute assignments–and prepping for finals in between. But if you need a little extra push to make it through to the glorious summer months, your Students’ Association has got your back. Take it from the adorable puppy: we’re here for you to help you succeed.
From Tuesday, April 19th until the following Monday, April 25th, we’ll be hosting lots of great programming to keep you going through your finals. The best part? All Stress Less programs and activities are free!
Exam Relief Cart
The cart, loaded up with all sorts of snacky goodness, starts at 11:00 a.m. and putters through the hallways until it runs out of food! You can find it:
April 19: B Wing, Iniskim Centre, & Exam gym
April 20: EA Building, & Library
April 21: EB Building, & Exam gym
April 22: Accessibility Services, O wing, T Wing, & Library
April 25: Y Wing, U Wing, & Exam Gym
You heard right: we’ve got a puppy room! Since they get tired pretty easily, the puppies are only on campus for a short time each day. Puppies will be here April 19 to April 21, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. You can find the puppies in the Gallery – that’s on the second floor of Wyckham House, in the big brick room directly across from the Peer Support Centre.
The Nap Room will be open from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. each day of Stress Less week. You’ll have to trek all the way up to the 3rd floor of Wyckham to find it: it’s inside the Global Citizen Centre (room Z307). We ask that anyone using the Nap Room please keep their phones, laptops, and tablets tucked away: it’s a screen-free zone. We also have lockers for you to store your stuff, so you can snooze away without worrying about your bag.
Movies in the Fort Room
Not sure you need a nap, but want to hang out and catch your breath between finals? Check out the Fort Room. It’s a little room in between the Pride Centre and the Peer Support Centre and we’ll be playing movies for you all week long! (There’s also huge bean bag chairs. They’re squishy!) The Fort Room will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. each day of Stress Less. Feel free to use your screens here with impunity!
Work out some of that tension from being hunched over your books all day: courtesy of students in the Continuing Education massage therapy program, you can stop by Stanley Gym and receive some de-stressing massage therapy any time from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. from April 20 – April 22.
All week, you can find colouring in every service centre, from 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.! You don’t even need to stay inside the lines: just grab a box of crayons and scribble away your stress.
