Season of Caring Food Drive – Ongoing – Peer Support Centre

You can help by donating a non-perishable food item, hygiene product or cash donation to help support the SAMRU food bank. Not sure what to donate? The Peer Support Centre has a “wish list” below. Donations are accepted in the Peer Support Centre on the 2nd floor of Wyckham House at any time, and many different departments are competing for bragging rights with boxes in their main reception areas. You can support your department in the challenge by dropping off your donation there too!

Season of Caring Wishes – Applications accepted October 31-November 30, 2011 – Peer Support Centre
All students are eligible to apply for a gift hamper to help make the Season of Caring a bit brighter for themselves and/or their families. If you have a special wish to make the season extra special, fill out an application before November 30th in the Peer Support Centre, room Z210.

 Wish Tree – West Gate
Fulfill a holiday wish for a child, a single student or an entire family! During the Wish Tree campaign, come by the tree and pick off a tag with the name and gift wish. The Wish Tree will be at West Gate from November 7-December 2nd, 2011. Your gift could brighten someone’s special day! Drop off your unwrapped gifts in the Peer Support Centre, room Z210 from November 7 - December 7, 2011.

Candy Canes for Pocket Change – October 31st - December 2nd, 2011 – West Gate
Donate your pocket change for a candy cane and loads of good karma. All funds raised go towards Season of Caring projects spearheaded by the Peer Support Centre. Cash donations are also accepted if sweet, swirly treats don’t tempt your sweet tooth. Tax receipts can be provided for all donations over $10.
