If you are a credit student feeling end-of-semester financial stress, and would like some extra support, then the Season of Caring can help warm up your winter through the Gift Hamper Program. Gift hampers are intended to help relieve end-of-semester financial stress and help students to concentrate on their academic success.
Drop by the Peer Support Centre (Wyckham House, room Z210) between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. to fill out an application form. Gift Hamper applications open November 1, 2017. Deadline to apply is November 23, 2017 at 4 pm.
Who can apply?
All credit students are eligible for the program, and can apply for themselves as well as any immediate family living in the same household (eg. children, parents, or partners).
How to apply?
- Students can apply by visiting the Peer Support Centre and talking to one of our volunteers between November 1st and 23rd (deadline), 2017 from 10 am to 4 pm. This is a drop-in appointment that should take no longer than 20 minutes. Applicants must bring a valid MRU ID card. Documentation indicating financial need is not necessary.
- Applicants can indicate their wish list within our guidelines. Since gifts are sponsored through the kindness and generosity of the MRU community, every student/family who applies will receive a gift, but are not guaranteed what they will receive.
- Students pick up their gift hamper at the Peer Support Centre (Wyckham House, Z210) between December 13 and 20, 2017 from 10 am to 4 pm.
