Ready to vote early? Want to avoid a line up at the poll on Election Day? Did you know you can vote right now?
Polling station on campus
A poll is now open in Council Chambers, located on the second floor of Wyckham House in room Z236. The polling station is open October 5th through October 8th, from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm. The polling station is open to all Canadian citizens with 2 valid pieces of I.D., including one proving the elector’s home address.
Any eligible elector can vote at this poll using a special blank ballot. This means that voters must know the name of the candidate in their riding that they are going to vote for to write in the blank ballot. This information can be located and looked up directly at the polling station. If you live in this riding (Calgary Centre) or choose to vote in this riding (if you live in Residence, for example), the ballot will include the candidates’ names.
To vote, you must be registered. Check to see if you are registered. If you are not registered, you can easily register on campus at the Elections Canada office in Wyckham House from now until October 11.

Living in Residence?
If you live on residence, you can choose to vote in either Mount Royal University’s riding, or in the riding where your home address is located. Otherwise, you can vote for the riding in which you live.
These polling stations can be accessed by people who are looking for more information, would like to register to vote, or for those ready to vote. There will be Elections Canada volunteers to help you with any questions or concerns you might have.
