We can’t wait to see you tonight at Gender Bender! If you’re interested in playing with gender expression tonight, here’s your friendly neighbourhood Community Engagement Coordinator/makeup genius  Jonathan Heath-Smith (“Frigid’ Air” onstage) to show you two different brow/contour techniques to help you get the look you want, so you can dazzle your friends and admirers:

Part of SAMRU’s Pride Week, Gender Bender is a celebration of gender expression and identity through live performance art. It’s a fun, inclusive evening of drag kings, queens and burlesque performers, all in a sex- and body-positive environment.

We’re so excited to welcome Fake Mustache Drag Troupe, the Imperial Sovereign Court of the Chinook Arch (ISCCA), the Garter Girls and some fabulous student performers to the Hub stage, as well as our guest artist for the evening, the inimitable Rae Spoon! Don’t forget – the theme of the evening is “Safer Space,” so cosmos-themed costumes are strongly encouraged!

Doors at 8:00pm
Free for MRU students (18+; ID required)
$5 cover for non-MRU guests
