February is Black History Month, and SAMRU’s Cultural Mosaic Centre (CMC) invites students, staff and faculty to celebrate the ongoing movement for rights equality. This year, the CMC will focus on Canadian Black History and the impact events and individuals have had in shaping Canadian culture.

“Black History Month is a chance for students to discuss their personal experiences and struggles related to race and class,” commented CMC Coordinator Nick Beck. “This history is everyone’s history – it speaks of the human condition found in the act of standing up against injustice and racial prejudice.”
