After the relaxing break you are enjoying right now, The Hub wants to continue your mellow mood for the week back to classes. Live Music Tuesdays continue starting February 26th, but this time instead of pop, indie rock or hip hop, we’re bringing you some local folk artists.

With two acts, and doors opening at 8pm, Live Music Tuesday’s Folk Night will showcase Hello Moth and Georgia Sound, presented by your Students’ Association of Mount Royal University and FFWD magazine.

Calgarian band Hello Moth has been described as “Soulless Soul”. Hello Moth’s music is a hybrid of warm and cold tones supplied by passionate vocals and cool tones from a timeworn digital synthesizer. “In each riveting performance, musical layers are laid upon each other in loops to form elaborate patterns. The songs which result are powerful and unexpected, and before your eyes the solitary musician becomes a haunting orchestra of one.” – https://www.facebook.com/hellomoth/info

Also taking the stage on February 26th is Calgary duo Georgia Sound. Formed in 2012, guitarist Ryan joined forces with pianist Shannon after meeting at an open mic night and realizing that they could compliment one another’s sound. Live Music Tuesdays are for an 18+ only audience, and guests are encouraged to find a safe way home and to avoid drinking and driving.
