Become a donor
Many of the services and programs we provide for students are due, in part, to the generous donations of our Mount Royal community. There are many ways to contribute; whether it’s an in-kind donation to our food and hygiene cupboard in the Peer Support Centre or sponsoring a student during the Season of Caring, your donation will go to the students who need support most so they can focus on what really matters – their studies!
You can also make a cash donation to SAMRU at any time through the online charity website, Canada Helps.
Attend an event
Though most of our programming and events are geared towards the student population, there are still a number of events you can take advantage of as a graduate! If you have a green thumb, you may consider getting involved with the Community Garden at MRU. Garden Work Parties are held throughout the Spring and Summer where attendees can enjoy snacks while planting/harvesting in the garden. Graduates can also still order Good Food Boxes from SAMRU Reception (Z222) throughout the year.
The Pride Parade is also coming up! You, and your friends/family/pets/other humans can walk with Mount Royal and SAMRU in the parade to celebrate love for all! Updates will be available through the office of Campus Equity and Meaningful Inclusion for the September 2019 parade.
Connect with us on social media
Even though you may not be a student anymore, don’t forget to continue advocating for post-secondary students with your local MP. We’ll help you stay in the know of issues currently affecting students.
Best of luck to you!
From all of us here at SAMRU, we wish all you fresh grads all the best in your post-post-secondary endeavours! Make sure to stay in touch– we’d love to hear from you!
