Are you interested in helping to plan, organize, and implement the third-annual CREATE a Better Now conference? The conference will take place January 13-15, 2015 in Wyckham House and other locations on the MRU campus as decided by the organizing committee.
This is an excellent opportunity for any students interested in global citizenship, leadership development and sustainable communities, along with interests in Event Management, Communications, Marketing, or Nonprofit Studies.
“We are looking for 8 students to lead the organizing of CREATE a Better Now” said Alana-Dawn Eirikson, CSI Coordinator, who will support the student organizers of this conference. “Students shape the conference programming through their participation as conference organizers, presentation or workshop facilitators, and collaborators” she added, noting that the organizing committee’s first meeting will take place on October 23, 2014, 4:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. in the CSI Centre on the second floor of Wyckham House.
To apply send Alana-Dawn Eirikson, CSI Coordinator an email at firstname.lastname@example.org with brief 150-word introduction of yourself including why you would like to be on the organizing committee, which role you are most interested in and 2 suggestions for either keynote speakers or session topics. Applications due October 20, 2014 at 4:30 p.m.
