Tips and tricks to make student life easier
Are there things you wish you’d learned from your family, friends, or teachers before leaving high school? Need to polish up some of those key life-skills that you didn’t have to master before coming to university and living on your own or with roommates?
This semester, SAMRU is bringing MRU students a brand new program: a series of Life Hacks workshops. These workshops are free for all students to attend and give everyone a chance to brush up on some of those life skills they might not already know.
Do you have a friend who might need some fine-tuning? Bring them with you!
Monday, September 28: Roommate Agreements. Sharing a space can be challenging – learn how to negotiate a roommate agreement to make the most of living with roommates.
Monday, October 26: Food. You’d be surprised at what you can make in the microwave!
Monday, November 23: DIY Cleaning Products. Don’t waste your money on expensive cleaning supplies: make your own!
All workshops take place in the Yellow Room (Z203) on the 2nd floor from 12:00-1:00 p.m. and 4:00-5:00 p.m.
More life hacks workshops will be announced for the Winter semester as well, so if you have ideas or suggestions for sessions, let us know!
