Meet Your VP Student University Affairs
B.Sc. in General Science with a Minor in Chemistry
Addison’s involvement at MRU includes three years on the rugby team and executive positions in the Improvination Club and Chem Bio Students’ Society. In 2012 – 13, he served as the Representation Executive Council’s VP Student University Affairs, and this year he’s taking the role for another spin.
“I didn’t feel like I was finished,” says Addison. “I’m excited to go into this position again with the knowledge and experience I gained last year.”
Addison’s goals for the year include promoting sustainable transportation to and from MRU, maximizing student space in Wyckham House, and working with students to develop more interactive events and programs. “Hearing students’ stories is the best part of being an executive,” says Addison. “There are so many great student citizens at MRU.”
In his spare time, Addison loves to go out: whether that means bouldering in the mountains or long-boarding down 17th. He’s also Canada’s top paper airplane pilot; stop by his office for an airplane-flying demo and share your ideas for the upcoming year!
