The SAMRU Vice President Academic Advisory Committee is a body of students who meet once a month for roughly two hours to discuss academic matters at MRU. This student committee will discuss things like scheduling, academic policies, course offerings, new programs and changes, among other things.

Student volunteers are needed to sign up for the SAMRU Vice President Academic Advisory Committee for the 2014-2015 academic year. Volunteers would spend approximately five hours per month to provide a student perspective to the issues brought to the meetings, and to keep the focus of academics at MRU centred on students.

This is a great chance to get involved in SAMRU and MRU, have your voice heard, represent the student voice, and volunteer on campus.

Faculties represented include:

  • Bissett School of Business
  • Arts Faculty Council
  • Library Faculty Council
  • Communications Faculty Council
  • Science and Technology Faculty Council
  • Health and Community Studies Faculty Council
  • Teaching and Learning Faculty Council
