Copywrite & Used Books is getting a makeover! That’s right; your favourite campus resource for used books, eco goods and more is slated for renovations this summer, joining The Hub as one of SAMRU’s newly updated spaces.
“We’re preparing to introduce a new service this summer, which requires a few updates to our space,” says Mitch LaRose, Copywrite & Used Books Supervisor. “Since floor renovations are needed in the basement lobby, including Copywrite’s upgrades makes the project cost-efficient.” The renovation will include new flooring, lighting and paint, as well as upgrades to Copywrite & Used Books’ counter.
The renovations will focus on making Copywrite & Used Books an even more inviting environment for its customers, giving the space a visual update while maintaining its functionality. “We’ll be brightening things up,” says LaRose. “We want people to feel welcome in the space.”
The renovated Copywrite & Used Books will still include all your favourite services, including used textbook consignment, copying & printing, Ticketmaster, the Eco Store and the off-campus housing list. We’ll also be welcoming a brand new service – Tech Squad! Check back for more details on that next month.
Copywrite & Used Books will be closed in June, July, and part of August for the renovations, but don’t worry, they’ll be open again in time for you to buy your books before classes start.
June 12 – Final day to consign your books, book consignment will be suspended after this date.
June 14 – Final day Copywrite will be open for business.
June 24 – Final day for book withdrawals. All contracts will be suspended after this date.
August 6 – Copywrite will reopen.
August 16 – Contracts expiring during the month of July will be extended until August 16 to allow people to pick up their unsold books.
