The winter 2013 semester is already well under way, and if you just need a night out to clear your mind from all of the assignments your professors have already started to assign, The Hub has a great solution.

Kicking off the January 15th show will be Astronomy Ground. Hailing originally from Winnipeg, the band now calls Calgary home and formed the band with a great passion for music… and astronomy! With their first album available on iTunes, be sure to check out Astronomy Ground before heading to the show to get a great idea of what you can expect from this alternative/indie band.

Taking over the stage sometime between 9:30 and 10:00pm is Sykamore, the musical moniker of local singer and songwriter Jordan Ostrom. With inspiration from Bob Dylan, Taylor Swift and the Dixie Chicks, Sykamore’s delicate voice and onstage showmanship is sure to please the ears.

Live Music Tuesdays is presented at The Hub in Wyckham House by the Students’ Association of Mount Royal University along with FFWD. Every Tuesday The Hub brings you often local, live music. There is no cover charge for anyone with a current MRU student ID, and the cover is only $5.00 for anyone without a student ID.

Live Music Tuesdays are 18+ only events, and The Hub encourages guests to find safe ways home, and never to drink and drive.
